The Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan is the Coordinating Administration Body, authorized to problem solution and carrying out the state policy in sphere of communication, information and using the radio-frequency spectrum. Under the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan ? DP-3080, of May 30, 2002 “On the further development of computerization and information-communication technologies implementation” the Post and Telecommunication Agency of Uzbekistan which was formed in 1997 on the basis of former Communication Ministry of the Republic of Uzbekistan reformed to the Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan.

The structure and activity basis of the Communication and Information Agency is defined by the Decree of the President of Republic of Uzbekistan ? DP-3080, of May 30, 2002 “On the further development of computerization and information-communication technologies implementation”, and also by the Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan ?200, of June 6, 2002 “Concerning the actions on further development of computerization and information-communication technologies implementation”; and ?215, of May 7, 2004 “Concerning the actions on development of activities of the Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan». The Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan is the Operating Body of the Coordinating Council on development of computerization and information-communication technologies. The Statute about the Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan is approved by the Resolutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan ?215, of May 7, 2004 “Concerning the actions on development of activities of the Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan”. |
