Central Asian CDMA Forum organized a two-day workshop on the latest 3G CDMA wireless technology at the premises of Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) Peshawar, from April 30 – May 01 (2006). Higher Education Commission and Central Asian CDMA sponsored the event
Resource person for the workshop was Dr. Syed Ismail Shah, Founder member of Central Asian CDMA Forum. The basic objective of the workshop was to create awareness among students about the new emerging technologies in the field of IT & Wireless Communication. The workshop covered the following CDMA module:

 • CDMA2000 1 x RC1 & RC2

Faculty members from the following universities/institute came to the workshop:

a) National University FAST Peshawar
b) UET Peshawar
c) IM Sciences Peshawar

Beside these there were students from various institutes along with some participants from Mobilink and some other smaller companies. Total Number of participants was approximately 40.

At the end of the 2 day training a small certificate distribution ceremony was also arranged where Dr Syed Ismail Shah distributed certificates amongst the participants on behalf of Central Asian CDMA Forum.
