Recently, Central Asian CDMA experts were invited by Afghan Telecom and Ministry of Communication, Afghanistan to conduct a 4 days short course on latest 3G CDMA wireless technology. The training session was inaugurated by Engr. Hassam Baryali, Afghanistan Deputy Minister (Technical), who also attended the session for sometime. Mr. Noorzaie President & CEO Afghan Telecom during the opening session thanked the Central Asian CDMA Forum delegation in conducting the training session.
Dr Syed Ismail Shah, founding member Central Asian CDMA Forum and professor at IQRA University, Islamabad successfully conducted the course that covered two modules RC1 & RC2 and Network Planning. The lectures were given by Dr. Ismail Shah in both English and Pushto. A total of 25 engineers attended the training belonging to different regions of Afghanistan. At the closing session the chief guest Engr. Hassam Baryali, Afghanistan Deputy Minister (Technical) distributed certificate among participants. A short presentation was also made by Mr. Khalid Khan to Afghanistan TRB on CDMA technology, regulatory and markets.
