This training session was offered keeping in view the interest of the participants from the first two training batches and the upcoming license award being planned by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. The classes were held from 10th – 20th Jan 2007 at the CDMA HR development center, Islamabad.
Dr. Syed Ismail Shah, Founder Member Central Asian CDMA Forum conducted the workshop. The following UMTS/WCDMA courses were offered.
- UMTS/WCDMA Overview
- UMTS/WCDMA Physical Layer
- UMTS/WCDMA Radio Interface
- UMTS/WCDMA HSDPA Layer
There were approximately 25 students who participated in the training. At the end of the training program a certificate distribution ceremony was held where Dr. Thomas O Neil, Senior Vice president Qualcomm Inc. presented the certificates amongst the participants.
Dr. Neil was accompanied by Mr. Raheel Kamal, Senior Director Qualcomm Inc. and Mr. Khalid Khan, Chairman Central Asian CDMA. |
