A training session on CDMA 2000 was successfully conducted by the Central Asian CDMA Forum from 11th to 19th July, 2007 at the Silk Route Hotel, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The event was actively supported by QUALCOMM Incorporated and the CDMA Development Group (CDG). Kyryz Telecom, FONEX and Sapatcom were the main sponsors for the training event. |

The training sessions was well attended by engineering professionals associated with the CDMA technology that included policy makers, regulators, mobile and WLL operators from Kyrgyzstan.
The main objective of the training program was to improve the technical skill level of the engineering professionals specially related with the development of CDMA technology in the country.

The training session was conducted by Dr. Ismail Shah, who is the Head of CDMA HR Development Centre and is a senior professor for conducting wireless technologies training around the globe specially in 3G technologies. The trainees from various companies and the regulator appreciated the effort of the CACF and said that the training has helped them understand the CDMA technology better and they shall use this knowledge base for growth of CDMA based wireless networks for their company and will ensure better deployment of network and services. The courses conducted included the following modules:
- CDMA 2000 Basic Engineering
- CDMA 2000 Network Planning
- CDMA 2000 Voice Network Optimization
- CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Release 0

The training session was part of the series of training sessions being planned by Central Asian CDMA Forum in the CIS for development of Human Resource Development in the region.
The training session was a great success providing an unprecedented opportunity to mobile and WLL operators, Government Ministry & regulatory officials and professional from the Kyrgyzstan to learn more about the CDMA 2000 technology. At the conclusion of the training session certificates were awarded to successful attendees.
